We have a proud history as a New Zealand owned company
stretching back to 1926. Today, we are the largest
wholly New Zealand owned fire and general insurer, in a
market otherwise made up of overseas owned insurance
companies.

We are a mutual company – that means our customers are
also our owners. This allows us to keep a single-minded
focus on the interests of customers. It also means our
financial returns are reinvested in the business to the
benefit of customers.
