FinTel is a company within the
TOWER Group - combining technology and a progressive
outlook with a tradition of financial security.
That tradition began in New Zealand in 1869 with the
founding of Government Life (later renamed TOWER Life).
Two other members of the Group, TOWER Insurance and
TOWER Trust, have also operated in the New Zealand since
1873 and 1881 respectively.
By 1996 the other member companies - TOWER Holdings,
TOWER Asset Management Ltd, TOWER Australia, TOWER
Health and Life, TOWER Managed Funds, TOWER Employee
Benefits, TOWER Financial Advisory Services and TOWER
Trust (Australia) - had become part of the Group. This
forms the diversified financial services organisation we
have today.
